About

The Computational Neuroscience Winter School at Shanghai Jiao Tong University brings together experimentalists, modelers and theoreticians to study the principles of neural computation. Lectures and practical sessions connect mathematical methods with biological mechanisms across scales, from single neurons and circuits to large-scale brain systems and brain-inspired intelligence.

The school provides an interdisciplinary setting for students and early-career researchers in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, neuroscience and related fields.

Neurons and synapses

Dendritic computation, synaptic learning and plasticity, and biophysical models of single neurons.

Circuit dynamics and function

Neural-field and population dynamics, sensory processing, memory and decision-making.

Whole-brain modeling and brain-inspired AI

Cortical geometry and large-scale brain dynamics, computational psychiatry, and brain-inspired approaches to AI.
